The party’s position was expressed to the public including the international community through a press release issued on Saturday, 2nd April 2016 two days after the Provisional Results were launched by the Government of Sierra Leone.

 


The SLPP, for the said reasons, has discredited the Provisional Results and vows not to accept its use for the preparation of any pending election that would be undertaken by the National Electoral Commission (NEC), particularly for the forthcoming Presidential, Parliamentary and Local Council elections slated for 2018.
However, development partners, especially the United Nations Country Team have described the Results to be satisfactory.
