Padi and Jolask business entities have provided one hundred bags of rice and other assorted food items to the Ministry of Defence at Tower Hill in Freetown.

The gesture by the commercial houses was to help support some ailing military personnel at the 34 Military who have fallen sick due to natural health frailties.

It can be recalled that at the end of every year, Padi and Jolask business entities provide relief services to sick military personnel at the 34 Military Hospital. The support is intended for personnel who might have naturally fallen ill due to the body’s vulnerability to sickness.

Presenting the items to the Minister of Defense, Rtd Colonel Muana Massaquoi, Business Executive Pc and Sons Fassally Tarawally said the items were a full range of the Padi products which included bags of rice, mayonnaise, maggi, milk and others.

The Deputy Minister of Defence Rtd Colonel Massaqoui lauded Padi and Jolask business entities for their kind and timely gesture.

He emphasised that the donation came at a time when it was much needed.

It is expected that the items provided by Padi and Jolask business entities would have a great impact on the sick military personnel at the 34 Military Hospital who are challenged, health wise.

May be it is time other commercial institutions render kind gestures to other sick people in the various hospitals across the country, especially during this festive season as that would help make sick people recover quickly and continue to render their services to the nation.
