It can be recalled that Mariatu Jalloh has been severally warned by the Police and other senior state authorities to stop publishing materials promoting gay and lesbian affairs in the country on her newspaper but she refused to comply.

Despite several and repeated warnings to Mariatu from the police and other authorities, including religious bodies, that Sierra Leone is a religious State and has no room for unethical, unreligious and untraditional activities such as gay and/or lesbian practices, Mariatu did not stop on promoting the evil act, but also was serving as a media advocate to the promotion of the sinful acts in the nation.

Mariatu’s failure to comply with the police warning and repeatedly publishing these materials is nothing but a deliberate attempt to create chaos and national unrest among Sierra Leoneans and friends of Sierra Leone, one that will bring curse from God to the people of Sierra Leone.

It can be recalled that it was as a result of Mariatu’s continued publications that promotes Gay and Lesbian affairs in the country that orchestrated the February 17, 2019 civil unrest in the capital city of Freetown and some other parts of the country that led to the killing of 6 people, wounding of 19 others and the destruction of properties valued at millions of leones.

For this reason, the police has declared her wanted and now call on all Sierra Leoneans to arrest and hand her over to any nearest police station across the country if seen.

An amount of Le10,000,000 (Ten Million Leones) will be rewarded to anyone who help the police in the arrest of Mariatu Jalloh.

 End.

Signed:

Assistant Inspector General (AIG),

Mustapha Stevens,

Sierra Leone Police.

Criminal Investigations Department
