Chairman of East End Lions Football Club, Ambassador Anthony Navo Jnr. has provided cash support to the national side Leone Stars ahead of their away AfCON qualifiers against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
Addressing the technical team and players after their training session at the National Stadium, Ambassador Navo on behalf of the management of E.E Lions and the fans wished the squad victory in both their home and away matches. He appealed for unity and togetherness as they set to represent their country.
“Salone first should be our mantra as citizens and we should do our best in whatever way when ever we are given the opportunity to serve this country,” he admonished.
He said the cash support and his presence is to compliment the efforts of government and the Sierra Leone Football Association to motivate the squad who seems very determined to return home over the weekend with victory.
The delegation will depart Sierra Leone tomorrow, Wednesday for Nigeria and will play on Friday, 13th November in Benin City.
