New Direction Allocates Over Le4Bn for Youth

President Julius Maada Bio led New Direction government has allocated more than four billion leones to Safety Net Support for employees in the tourism and hospitality sector during the COVID-19 pandemic.

This, according to President Bio is to cushion the effect of COVID-19 on the sector. He made this disclosure at the launch of the Safety Net Support at Radisson Blu Hotel, Aberdeen in Freetown.

The Executive Director for Centre for Coordination of Youth Activities, Abigail Stevens said youth need to be actively involved in beneficial affairs so as to better themselves and be useful citizens.

She made this statement in their post-international day seminar organized to capture young minds in making informed decisions and the review of the National Youth Policy.
