The King’s Foundation International has presented their Global Impact Award to Rokel Commercial Bank at an impressive ceremony at the bank’s Siaka Steven’s headquarters in Freetown.
Others that had received the prestigious award included Lapo Micro Finance and Legal aid Board among others for their outstanding performance in the financial sector, empowerment of underprivileged people and the justice sector respectively.
The Chief Executive Office for KFI, Rev. Beulah Michaels said the award is to recognize those institutions and individuals that have contributed immensely to change the lives of people in line with the UN sustainable development goals.
In 2014, King’s Foundation International was established to help reduce and address community problems, social reformation, and capacity building amongst underprivileged persons in the country. The CEO for King’s Foundation International, Rev Michael said the Global Impact Award is for dedication and commitment to national development.
Rokel Commercial Bank received the Best Bank for Customer Service, while the RCB Managing Director, Dr. Walton Ekundayo Gilpin was awarded Best Bank Manager.
A senior RCB executive expressed their thanks and appreciation for the awards, and that they feel gratified that people have been watching and assessing them behind their backs while they are preforming their duties.
Dr. Gilpin on his personal behalf and on behalf of the bank also expressed his thanks and appreciation to King’s Foundation International, adding that the awards have only gingered them to work harder.
