Devolved sports officer and Consultant of Freetown City Council Jibson Gaima, has said they realize that there are two menaces affecting Sierra Leone, the Coronavirus that needs to be eradicated and the denial syndrome.
Sports consultant Baima made this comment during a workshop with community ward coordinators from the Freetown City Council.
According Anabi Yusif Kamara a former football referee that served as lead facilitator, ward coordinators and community leaders should be peaceful with each other especially during this time of fighting the coronavirus disease.
Sports Consultant at the Freetown City Council Gibson Brima highlighted the reasons for engaging key players from different communities during this time of Covid-19.
Delivering the keynote address on behalf of the Minister of Sports, Abdulrahman Conteh deputy secretary said though sports activities are on hold, the need to engage every player at this time is important. He stressed that currently the sporting industry is seriously hit by coronavirus.
Some of the participants gave their contributions on what they observed during this period in the fight against covid-19 in Sierra Leone.
Even though the central government has relaxed some restrictions in the country, athletes are hopeful about the resumption of training so that they could go about normal training.
