The Information and Communications Manager of the Fifty Most Influential Sierra Leonean Women’s Award Committee, Alhaji S. Conteh has disclosed that the public voting for the Fifty Most Influential Sierra Leonean Women Award will commence today 14th February and end on 14th March 2020.

According to Mr. Conteh, individuals can vote by sending the voting code of the person they wish to vote for through the short code 5533.

He further stated that the public can vote as many times as possible for their preferred candidates and the committee will publish the final list of the Fifty Most Influential Sierra Leonean Women Award on the 20th March 2020.

It could be recalled that on 8th February 2020, the Country Representative of the United Nations Entity for Women (UN Women) Dr. Mary Okumu, launched the Fifty Most Influential Sierra Leonean Women Award at Radisson Blu, Mammy Yoko Hotel. 

This year the Fifty Most Influential Sierra Leonean Women Award committee received eight hundred and twenty-three (823) nominations from the public. Giving the high quality of nominations, they shortlisted One hundred women with exceptional quality for public voting.

All shortlisted nominees were announced at the launching of the public voting process by Miss Sierra Leone 2019, Enid Jones- Boston and it was broadcasted live on AYV Television

The Grand Awards Ceremony and Dinner is scheduled for Saturday 28th March 2019, at Bintumani Conference Center. Time: 5:30Pm.
