Speaking at the ceremony to journalists, President, World Olympians Association, Francis Dove Edwin said that the consignments in the containers worth US$30,000 US. He pointed out that the venture was part of their contribution to the ongoing fight against the dreaded and fatal Ebola virus in the country.

He noted that as a sport association they cannot sit down and fold their hands while a threat to sport is taking its toll in the country and the world by extension. He claimed they will do all in their power to help in combating the virus ravaging innocent lives of meaningful Sierra Leoneans.

Dove Edwin furthered that as an association they will consider themselves an integral component in the war against this faceless enemy. He recounted that the virus has forestall all sporting activities thus, rendering sports people jobless and frustrating in the country.

He encouraged every Sierra Leonean to adhere to the precautionary measures given by the health experts which he said is geared towards breaking the chain of transmission and the eradication of the virus.
