According to the particulars of the offence, convict Alusine Sulaiman Kargbo committed the said offence between the dates of 7 February 2016 to March 2016, at the Kroobay community, within the Freetown Judicial District in the Republic of Sierra Leone.

He was said to have smuggled the victim name withheld from Grafton in the outskirt of the country’s capital Freetown, and hibernated with   her at the Kroobay community, where he committed the said offence.

 Before Justice Monfred Sesay slammed judgment on convict Alusine, he made it abundantly clear to all present in the court session that based on the evidence adduced throughout the trial process, held the convict culpable of the offence of sexual penetration of a child under the age of eighteen years old.

The convict was represented by lawyer O.C Spencer Coker from the legal Aid Board, and the state was represented by Barrister J.A K Sesay and Lynton Jones from the Law Officers Department, at Lamina Sankoh in the central part of Freetown.

In another development, Justice Monfred Sesay of the High Court of Sierra Leone,  on same date convicted and sentenced twenty two years old Abubakarr Kamara to three years imprisonment for the offence of robbery, contrary to Section (32) sub section (2) of the larceny act of 1916, of the country’s laws.

The charge sheet indicated that convict Kamara, robbed the complainant, Mariama Bockarie around Up Gun intercession in the early hours of 13 June 2015, of her two expensive Samsung galaxy S5 mobile phones.

Evidence adduced by the court during the trial process stated that Convict Abubakar Kamara also robbed, Mariama Bockarie of her brown and black purse, perfume, trousers, brown hand bag with a physical cash of six hundred thousand leones, all to the total value of one million, five hundred and twenty five thousand leones.

Prior to Abubakar Kamara’s conviction and sentenced, his lawyer O.C Spencer Coker pleaded with the presiding judge to tamper justice with mercy, as the convict did not waste the court’s time to plead guilty to the offence preferred against him .

He promised the presiding judge that the convict would not appear before his court , for such offence and had spent almost two years in detention at the Male Correction Centre on Pademba road in the west end of Freetown.
